Oral allergy syndrome is an allergic reaction in the mouth and throat that occurs after eating certain raw fruits, vegetables, or nuts.

Oral allergy syndrome (OAS), also known as pollen-food allergy syndrome, is a form of contact allergic reaction caused by cross-reacting allergens found in both pollen and raw fruits, vegetables, and some tree nuts. It is characterized by itching and swelling of the mouth, face, lip, tongue, and throat immediately after eating the trigger food.
