Definition
Morning sickness is a common condition experienced during early pregnancy, characterized by nausea and sometimes vomiting, usually occurring in the morning but it can happen at any time of the day.
Scientific / Technical Definition
Morning sickness, medically known as nausea gravidarum, affects approximately 70-80% of pregnant women and is thought to be related to hormonal changes, particularly increased levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and estrogen. It typically begins around the 6th week of pregnancy and often subsides by the 12th to 14th week.
