Saturated fats are a type of fat found in various foods and oils that are solid at room temperature.
Scientific / Technical Definition
Saturated fats are triglycerides containing solely saturated fatty acids. They have no double bonds between the individual carbon atoms of the fatty acid chain, which makes them fully 'saturated' with hydrogen atoms.
